The tradition of green beers are not very long in the Czech Republic and – let´s be honest – it is not very succesfull. The first brewery that tried to make it was probably Starobrno and the result was awful. Recently some small breweries tried it as well and the results are a bit better. Still it´s not something you must try while here.
Radas is a small brewery in Střítěž near Frýdek-Místek. Their brews are quite good, their methods are traditional and they don´t experiment with styles much. Radas Zelený is probably colored pilsener. It´s hard to say there is no information about the brew anywhere. So I tried myself and it was OK. No herbal flavour so I suppose that they used some chemicals to make it green. And green it is! Happy St. Patrick´s Day!
